  • June 5, 2018: The Ethics Commissioner's inquiry report (French only) with regard to Mr. Pierre Paradis, Member for Brome-Missisquoi, was tabled in the National Assembly.
  • May 8, 2018: The Ethics Commissioner publishes guidelines to inform Ministers and political staff members of post-term rules applicable to them (French only).
  • April 10, 2018 : The Ethics Commissioner publishes institutional orientations for the next four years and unveils a new logo (French only).
  • March 3, 2018 : The Member for Lévis, Mr. François Paradis, files a request for an inquiry into potential breaches of the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly by the Minister of Health and Social Services and Member for La Pinière, Mr. Gaétan Barrette. Since this request concerns the same facts that led to the initiation of an inquiry on March 1, 2018, the inquiry will cover both requests.
  • March 1, 2018 : Following the receipt of a request from the Member for Taillon, Ms. Diane Lamarre, the Ethics Commissioner launches an inquiry into potential breaches of the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly by the Minister of Health and Social Services and Member for La Pinière, Mr. Gaétan Barrette.
  • February 6, 2018 : The Ethics Commissioner publishes guidelines for staff members of MNAs, House Officers and Ministers who consider running as candidates in provincial elections (French only).
  • December 1, 2017: An inquiry report (French only) by the ad hoc Ethics Commissioner with regard to Mr. Claude Surprenant, Member for Groulx, was tabled in the National Assembly.
  • November 21, 2017: An inquiry report (French only) by the ad hoc Ethics Commissioner with regard to Mr. Donald Martel, Whip of the Second Opposition Group and Member for Nicolet-Bécancour, was tabled in the National Assembly.
  • November 9, 2017: Two inquiry reports by the ad hoc Ethics Commissioner were tabled in the National Assembly. The first one relates to Ms. Carole Poirier, Chief Official Opposition Whip and Member for Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. The second one relates to several ministers and one former minister.
  • October 3, 2017: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the 2016 disclosure summaries of the private interests of the Cabinet Ministers and their family members, as required by section 55 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly of Québec.
  • September 26, 2017: An inquiry report (French only) by the Ethics Commissioner with regard to Mr. Gaétan Barrette, Minister of Health and Social Services and Member for La Pinière, was tabled in the National Assembly.
  • September 20, 2017: The 2016-2017 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • August 22, 2017: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the disclosure summaries of the private interests of Members, as required under section 40 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • October 27, 2016: The Ethics Commissioner published the disclosure summaries of the private interests of the Cabinet Ministers and their family members (disclosure), as required by section 55 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly of Québec.
  • September 21, 2016: The 2015-2016 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • June 8, 2016: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the disclosure summaries of the private interests of Members, as required under section 40 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly. The Commissioner also publishes the disclosure summary of his private interests under section 71 of the Code.
  • September 22, 2015: The 2014-2015 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • February 24, 2015: The Report on the implementation of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly for 2011-2014 has been tabled in the National Assembly. In it, the Commissioner makes 23 recommendations inviting MNAs to consider the advisability of amending the Code. These recommendations include adding or modifying rules of conduct, simplifying certain application mechanisms, and elements to reflect on for which no amendment to the Code is submitted.
  • October 28, 2014: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the disclosure summaries of the private interests of Members, as required under section 40 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly. The Commissioner also publishes the disclosure summary of his private interests under section 71 of the Code.
  • October 7, 2014: The Ethics Commissioner published the disclosure summaries of the private interests of the Cabinet Ministers and their family members (disclosure), as required by section 55 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly of Québec.
  • September 28, 2014: The 2013-2014 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • June 12, 2014: The Ethics Commissioner published an information note (French only) concerning the Rules of conduct applicable to the office staff of ministers.
  • June 12, 2014: The Ethics Commissioner published an information note (French only) concerning Gifts, hospitality and other benefits – Further information.
  • March 3, 2014: The Ethics Commissioner published an information note (French only) concerning a blind trust or a blind management agreement.
  • December 9, 2013: The Ethics Commissioner published the disclosure statement forms (French only) for Members, Cabinet Ministers and their family members.
  • October 1, 2013: The Ethics Commissioner published an information note Letter of support or recommendation (French only).
  • September 19, 2013: The 2012-2013 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • May 30, 2013: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the disclosure summaries of the private interests of Members, as required under section 40 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly. The Commissioner also publishes the disclosure summary of his private interests under section 71 of the Code.
  • April 30, 2013: The rules of conduct applicable to the staff of Members and House officers of the National Assembly (French only) and the Regulation Respecting the Rules of Conduct Applicable to the Office Staff of Ministers come into force. The values of the National Assembly, the ethical principles and the rules of conduct prescribed apply to the staff of all Members and members of the Conseil exécutif.
  • March 27, 2013: The Ethics Commissioner published the Regulation Respecting the Rules of Conduct Applicable to the Office Staff of Ministers, adopted under section 11.7 of the Executive Power Act (chapter E-18), in the Gazette officielle du Québec, Part 2, No. 13, page 776. This regulation comes into force on April 30, 2013.
  • February 27, 2013: The Ethics Commissioner published the disclosure summaries of the private interests of the Cabinet Ministers and their family members (disclosure), as required by section 55 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly of Québec.
  • November 6, 2012: The 2011-2012 Activity Report, including the financial statements of the Ethics Commissioner, was tabled in the National Assembly. The Activity Report summarizes the main activities of the Members of the National Assembly and the Ethics Commissioner in implementing the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Members of the National Assembly.
  • May 30, 2012: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the May 2012 update of the Guidelines concerning gifts, hospitality and other benefits, making certain clarifications in paragraphs 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 and introducing a new guideline in connection with the Volunteer Support Program in paragraph 3.8.
  • May 4, 2012: The Ethics Commissioner publishes the disclosure summaries of the private interests of Members, as required under section 40 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly. The Commissioner also publishes the disclosure summary of his private interests under section 71 of the Code.
  • March 6, 2012: The first disclosure statements filed with the Ethics Commissioner with respect to gifts, hospitality or other benefits are entered in the public register of disclosure statements. The register is available on the Ethics Comissionner's website.
  • February 28, 2012: The Ethics Commissioner published guidelines and a practical guide on gifts, hospitality or other benefits, as required by section 89 of the Code.
  • February 9, 2012 : The Ethics Commissioner published the disclosure summaries of the private interests of the Cabinet Ministers and their family members (disclosure), as required by section 55 of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly of Québec.
  • January 1, 2012: All sections of the Code of ethics and conduct of the Members of the National Assembly are now in force. Under section 133, the Code came into force progressively on the following dates: December 8, 2010 (date of assent), July 1 and October 1, 2011 and finally, January 1, 2012.
